Matthew Thomas has joined our London office, taking the role of Associate Director, to supplement our Cost Management and Delay Claims analysis capabilities.

Matthew is a Civil Engineer with over fifteen years’ experience in heavy civils, infrastructure and building construction works. His initial experience within the industry was gained in specialist marine and offshore construction. He has substantial practical, commercial and contractual experience gained from delivery of a variety of infrastructure, building and construction projects in the UK and overseas.

Matthew’s ability to proactively distill a contractual, commercial or operational claim’s issue down to a point of resolution and move forward, has led him to become increasingly involved in more contractually, commercially or operationally complex and sensitive contracts. His involvement has been at the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), procurement, operational management and claim/final account negotiation and agreement.
Matthew has a Master’s Degree in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution, is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has an Engineering Degree in Civil and Coastal Engineering.
